OMB Electrical Engineers joins Salas O’Brien expanding our presence in southern California and Phoenix.

Salas O’Brien announced today that OMB Electrical Engineers has joined the company, creating a combined firm of 24 offices with more than 650 employee-owners, 135 registered professionals, and clients that are the most significant companies in the United States.

The addition of OMB and its offices in southern California and Phoenix expands Salas O’Brien’s portfolio in the design of healthcare, hospitality, theme parks, research, public works, industrial, manufacturing, education, and commercial projects.

OMB, like Salas O’Brien, has an outstanding reputation for technical excellence and service to their clients. They have a long record of proven success and collaboration with others. Their DNA is the same as ours. Now we will be able to introduce mechanical, fire protection engineering and commissioning to their clients, when it makes sense. The OMB leadership team is totally committed to our combined success, and I am happy to embrace our new employee-owners into our organization.

OMB will continue to be managed locally by its current leaders and will adopt the Salas O’Brien name after a transition period. The transaction closed on April 30, 2019, and news of the merger was shared last week with the OMB and Salas O’Brien teams.

Partnering with Salas O’Brien allows OMB to provide comprehensive engineering and commissioning to our clients,“ said Dennis McVay, OMB Principal. “At the same time, it was very important for our team to find a partner that shares the same values, vision, and excellence in design. We have found that in Salas O’Brien. We will also maintain the local decision-making and project accountability that are instrumental to our client success. That is why our partnership with Salas O’Brien is such a great fit.”
